“A Time for Action”

Eccesiastes 3:1 “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

A time to sow and a time to reap / harvest.

NOW IS THE TIME FOR ACTION

IT IS TIME TO PASS THE BATTON

SILENT WITNESS V.S. ACTIVE WITNESS

Mark 16:;15 “He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be dondemned.”

Romans 10:8-17 “(8) But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus Christ is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (11) As the scripture says, “Everyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile [ Palestinian or Greek, Asian or Indian, Hispanic….] the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him,

(13) for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. (14) How then can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”….(17) consequently, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”

• If we don’t do our part, take the responsibility God handed us, and evangelize our nation, it will be lost.

How many people base their Values and Morals by the Bible

in our society today:

• Age 55-65+ 80%
• Age 45-55 40%
• Age 35-45 20%
• Age 25-35 10%
• Age 17-21 4%
• If We Really Believe the Word of God, How can We Sit on the Side Lines and let our loved ones and friends pass into eternity without having the opportunity to make this choice for themselves?

• It is This Generation’s Responsibility to Carry The Word to the Next Generation.

• If we fail this task, the generations after us, and our nation could be lost to others.

• We are facing serious issues of morals and human value in our society today, which is a direct result of our lack of taking our responsibility to Let our light so shine” We have dropped the ball. It is time to pick it up

• ** How many people have passed into eternity since I began this message?

• God has placed each and every one of us in a position of influence.

• Use your influence in someone’s life to save them.
• He has positioned you to do so
• Now is the time of Salvation!

• The Kingdom of God is at Hand
  • Every Second someone slips into eternity
  • Every minute multitudes slip into eternity
  • 100+ deaths take place in 1 minute across our world – every minute
  • We always say, “We have tomorrow.”
  • We always say we can share with them tomorrow
  • We say, Lord send someone across their path, when he positioned us in their path.
  • We are not guaranteed tomorrow.
  • Today is the day of salvation
  • Today, this moment, is all we have guaranteed.

James 2:14 “What good is it, my b4rothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? (17) In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” (18) But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. (24) You see, that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. (26) As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.”

• The Time Is Now
  • We must mobilize ourselves
  • We must have a plan / strategy to help us accomplish this task
  • We must act. There is no better time to begin than now.

• How Can We Do This?
  • We can go home and think of people that we know, begin with 3, then work another 3, continue to do so throughout our life time
  • Begin to pray for them
  • Call them, go out to lunch with them, go golfing, play racketball, go shopping – Do something to get together with them
  • Share the simple gospel. Ask them, “Has anyone told you that God loves you and has a plan for your life.
  • Commit to your memory a simple salvation script. Be ready to share the simple gospel truth to someone. Even a stranger.
  • Bring them to church with you
  • Invite them to our BBQ to meet people and get connected, our men’s & women’s cells
  • Begin to make your life an influence for God. Ambassadors, Representatives for Christ.
  • How do we win Muslims? Go after them with the gospel of Jesus Christ, the gospel of Love,

• If we influenced 3 people, our congregation would be full
• They’re not going to simply walk in the doors!
• We’ve got to compel them to come in
• If our city, if our nation of believers, the world of believers
• It is time to send missionaries into this country.

• God Gave Each of us a Vessel, a Container He Believes that We Can Fill – Together
  • Our individual churches that he has placed us in
  • Children’s ministries
  • Youth Ministry
  • He expects us to fill the container that He gave us.

Who Will stand to this commission?

Who will say, I will share Christ

I will give people the chance to hear the gospel

I will let my life be used to influence those in my life

I will ask them if they know Jesus Christ, if they know beyond a shadow of a doubt that if they were to die this moment, that they would go to heaven.

I will share with them the gospel;

I will pray with them the prayer of salvation

I will bring them to church so that they can grow in their relationship with God and learn about him.

I will be a mentor for them.
